Remodeling

While Kim's family are away in Spain we are doing some remodeling to the house. Since that's something right up my alley...we are starting off with the kitchen. The cupboards had a dark brown wood paneled look goin' on with green marbled counter tops. We are going with a pretty "Bay Leaf" framework and "Pecan" for the front of the drawers and cupboards. The kick boards are "Coffee Bean" so when we sit at the snack bar it won't look all scratched up after some wear and tear.

Since free time is not something I have much of and Kim and I both have a "ambition factor" (or lack thereof), we hired Jason Ivie to do the labor part of the remodeling thus far. He is a great kid that I have known since he was born. He and Casey are the same age and grew up together. His parents are great friends =)

Doggie Bath Time =)

The other members of our little family, Mr. Darcy and Lizzie, were getting a lil' smelly and dirty so while Kim and I are being all productive today and everything we decided to give them both a good scrub down...

This is Darcy trying to escape the bathroom...

We didn't get a pic of Lizzie before the event but she seemed to not care less. This is her right out of the shower and just happy to be here...

We are getting ready to put Darcy in next...

Here he goes! Clueless as to what we are about to do...

He was actually sooo good! I was almost as wet as he was, but all in all he was a trooper and just let us scrub...private parts and everywhere.

How cute is Lizzie hiding out between my legs?

A little clip and trim on the longer, matted hair on Darcy...

Almost done! Giving Mr. Darcy a blow job ;-)

So we made a mess...

Whew! Fresh and clean and ready to go outside to play in the mud!

Salt Lake City to Orem! Woo Hoo!

So it's been awhile since I last blogged...this is where I live now. It's a great house in Orem. Fully furnished and all (including my Kimmie!) Great place and good times, but all my stuff is here...

More of Wyoming! (see previous post)

More pics of the past week...
Casey hung out with us and shared his Wyoming Cowboys hat with Cortni. She looks very cute with a hat! Also, she is always good to hang on the bed with Grandma =) Comfy, cozy and all is well...

Wyoming!

I spent the last week or so in Wyoming with my family...YAY! It was wonderful =) Cortni participated in Special Olympics. She completed the 25 meter assisted walk and won the gold metal. Such a wonderful & perfect kid. I just love her!

LOVE These Guys!

Went to this concert last week. Loved every song! The new album coming out May 20 has some kickin songs..."Not My Time" is breaking radio station records pre-release and another song from this self titled CD..."Let Me Be Myself" is gonna be my new favorite song.

Back In The Day

Had to post a few pics from back in the mid 80's...too funny!

Quote (sorry for the language but I love this one!)

Matchbox 20 and Alanis Morissette Concert

Kim and I went to the Matchbox 20 and Alanis Morissette concert last month and had a great time. Both acts sounded great and we got to sing along to songs that were some of my all time faves!
Matchbox 20...yep...thats my Rob Thomas singing there in the middle. LOVE HIM!

Work...or is it more play?

With Michelle now working at Hoppers the days are much more fun and we get into far too much trouble! Kidding. We do have fun, though =)
We know we are pretty cute...

Michelle might just know it a little more than me. If that's possible.

Coral drinking her Jamba Juice out of sight for the customers.

My buddies Sean, Dallas, manager Scotty and regular Dean. This is working?

I am well known as being the salad bar nazi. Manager Alex thinks its funny to make a giant mess, take a photo then leave it for me to clean up. When I spend a week each month in Wyoming the salad bar goes to hell and it takes me freakin' forever to get it back to my standards. In this picture I am not happy.

Wyoming...where the heart is

Visiting family and friends in Wyoming is the BEST! I am so struggling with the decision to move permanently up there or stick to the commuting thing. I have good parts of life in both places. Bottom line is I miss my baby and want to see her more.

She is perfect. Period.

If I take the shuttle to Jackson from SLC I stay with my lifelong friend, Chris. She lives right in Jackson and I have to catch the shuttle at 6:30 am. It makes for not quite such an early morning for my family and no dark Snake River Canyon drive!

Cortni is my cuddle buddy.

It's not easy to get a good pic of Cort if she's not in the mood. Which would be pretty much always.
Yeah. See above caption. =)
